Australia Expands Rights for Gay and Lesbian Couples
By Jonas Oliver
The Australian senate has passed legislation giving same-sex couples the same rights as straight heterosexual couples. The legislation which redefines the definition of a ‘de facto’ relationship to include gay and lesbian couples, extends equal rights in nearly 100 areas including tax, social security, health, aged care, employment and superannuation entitlements, thereby giving same-sex couples the exact same rights as opposite-sex couples living together in common-law relationships.

All Over Melbourne
By Hillary Gard
Asked to name Australian cities, most Americans could come up with two: Sydney and... that other one. Sydney's the one with the Opera House. But Melbourne has everything else. 24 Hours in Sydney

Tales of a Pink Flight
By Ed Walsh
Love her or hate her, you’ve got to give Kathy Griffin credit for hard work. During the shirtless hot man contest near the end of Air New Zealand’s inaugural 'Pink Flight,' from San Francisco to Sydney, Australia, Griffin couldn’t help stealing the show. To the surprise of howling passengers, Griffin took off her shirt and ran from her seat in business class through the aisles wearing only her bra. Such were the tales from a very historic flight.
